Yae-miko are peaceful, reclusive humanoids that inhabit dense forests. They have the ability to change their appearance to that of a small, friendly animal, such as a fox or badger. This ability allows them to live in harmony with the forest creatures, and they are often protected by these animals. Yae-miko rarely leave their forests, but they have been known to travel to other lands to seek out new forests to call home.
Change Shape (Su): A yae-miko can assume the appearance of a specific small animal as a standard action. This ability functions as a polymorph spell cast on itself (caster level 5th), except that a yae-miko does not regain hit points for changing form and can only assume the form of a small animal. A true seeing spell or ability reveals the yae-miko's natural form.
Skills: Yae-miko have a +4 racial bonus on Climb and Move Silently checks. In addition, yae-miko have a +8 racial bonus on Listen and Spot checks.
Humanoid (Human, Shapechanger): Yae-miko are humanoids with the human and shapechanger subtypes. They have the ability to change their appearance to that of a small animal as a standard action, as described above.
